Will my tablet or phone fit in the stand? (Dimensions Guide)
The integrated stand is designed to hold almost any tablet on the market!
Slot Dimensions: The slot is 15.7 inches (40cm) wide and can accommodate devices up to 0.51 inches (1.3cm) thick.
Will it fit? As long as your device (plus its case) is thinner than 1.3cm, it will fit perfectly.
Compatibility: It easily holds a 12.9" iPad Pro, Samsung Galaxy Tabs, Surface Pro, and all smartphones.
Which operating systems are supported?
The keyboard is fully compatible with iOS (iPad/iPhone), Android, Windows, and macOS.
Will the keyboard tip over if I use a large tablet (like iPad Pro 12.9")?
Absolutely not. We engineered the TW1868 with a built-in solid metal counterweight, bringing the total weight to approx 2.43 lbs (1.1kg). This "heavy-duty" design provides a rock-solid center of gravity, ensuring your device stays perfectly balanced and secure—even with a 12.9" tablet placed in the slot.
Should I choose Blue Switch or Coffee Switch?
It depends on your sound preference and typing environment:
🔵 Blue Switch (Classic Clicky): Choose this if you want the authentic retro typewriter experience. It makes a loud, crisp "click-clack" sound. Perfect for solo writers and retro enthusiasts who love rhythmic feedback.
☕ Coffee Linear Switch (Low-pitched & Gentle): Choose this if you prefer a smoother, quieter feel. It produces a low-pitched, gentle sound without the loud click. It is ideal for office use, shared spaces, or late-night typing where you don't want to disturb others.
💡 Want to try both? Can't decide? You can purchase extra Blue or Coffee switch packs separately in our Accessories collection to customize your typing experience anytime!
What do the silver lever and knobs actually do?
They are fully functional controls!
The Return Lever: Pull the lever to cycle through 14+ dynamic backlight modes. It mimics the carriage return of a real vintage typewriter.
The Left Knob: Adjusts the LED brightness level.
The Right Knob: Controls your device's Volume (Vol+/Vol-).
Can I switch the backlight to a single solid color (or turn it off)?(
Yes, you can!
While the lever cycles through dynamic multi-color effects, you can also set the keyboard to a single solid color (such as White, Blue, Purple, Red, Yellow, Green, etc.) to match your desktop setup.
Prefer a simpler look? You can easily turn the backlight OFF completely or adjust the brightness using the Left Knob.
What language layout is available?
The keyboard comes in the standard US QWERTY Layout.

I’ve been using this at the dining table when I write. The stand keeps my iPad at a good angle, so I don’t have to prop it up against a book anymore. The round keys felt different at first, but after a few evenings I got used to them. It’s a little heavy to move around, but it stays put while I’m typing.
I mostly use it with my tablet in the evenings when I’m catching up on messages or working on personal projects. The stand keeps the screen at a good angle and feels steady while I type. The backlighting is brighter than I expected and makes the keys easy to see with the room lights down. It took me a few minutes to figure out the lighting settings, but everything has worked fine since.
Bought it for the old typewriter look, but it has become my everyday keyboard. The keys have more travel than my old flat keyboard, which I prefer, and the weight keeps it from sliding around.
The built-in stand turned out to be more useful than I expected. My tablet stays right in front of me while I work, and I don’t need a separate stand taking up room.
1. Words don’t just land - they settle in, like they were always meant to live here.
2. Colors don’t illuminate - they resurrect the keys, breathing life into every letter.
3. That color lever? A tactile time-machine. One flick and you’re in a Hollywood script room.
4. Volume and light knobs sit exactly where intuition reaches control without the fumble.
5. The wooden frame doesn’t just look earthy it grounds you in ways aluminum never could.
6. Mobile, iPad, laptop — it connects with a seamlessness that makes you forget the technology. The highest compliment tech can receive.
7. And finally , this keyboard doesn’t type words. It summons them. My Oscar-winning screenplay was waiting for these keys.
I’ve had it at my work desk for a couple of weeks now. The round keys felt different on the first day, but I don’t really notice it anymore. Mostly, I like having a keyboard that doesn’t look like every other one in the office.
I use this at the dining table when I write. The stand holds my iPad at a good angle, so I don’t have to prop it up against a book anymore. It’s heavier than I thought it would be, but it doesn’t move around while I’m typing.
I bought it mostly because I liked the vintage look. The wood finish and round keys work really well with my fall desk setup. A couple of people have asked me about it already.
My desk is in one corner of our living room, so I didn’t want something that looked too much like office equipment. This fits in well with my wood desk and lamp. My sister thought it was an old typewriter at first.
Most evenings I use it with my tablet for emails and personal projects. The stand feels steady, and the backlight is bright enough that I don’t need the overhead light on. It took a few minutes to figure out the lighting controls, but after that it was simple.
OMG!!! I received my beautiful 7Keys Retro Typewriter keyboard TODAY!!! I just ordered it yesterday at the best price!!! The keyboard looks just like a typewriter, the clicking sound is so satisfying. The keys are a perfect size for my big fingers. The look is absolutely beautiful!!! I wanted to wait for a version with the numbers keypad, I’m glad I didn’t wait and got the OG 7Keys Retro Typewriter keyboard that keeps the integrity look of an old fashion typewriter but is modern. Thank you 7Keys for an excellent product & amazing fast delivery. I am totally OBSESSED!!
The keyboard is excellent! The clicky sound of the blue switches is crisp and very satisfying, and it really gives that classic typewriter feeling. The build quality is solid, the keys are comfortable, and typing on it is smooth and enjoyable. The retro design looks amazing on the desk. Highly recommended for anyone who loves mechanical keyboards with a strong, vintage vibe.
My dad had a real typewriter back in the day and this keyboard’s sound totally takes me back to sitting at his desk as a kid. But now I just hook it up to my iPad and breeze through my to-do list. Honestly it’s way cooler than I thought and I’m loving it!
Just picked up this retro typewriter keyboard and I’m seriously impressed—especially with that built‑in tablet stand. It’s rock solid and holds my iPad at just the right angle so I can bang out emails, jot down ideas, or binge-watch YouTube without ever shifting my setup. The keys have that satisfying “clack” I’ve been craving since ditching real typewriters, but the whole package feels sleek and modern. If you want that old‑school charm with zero trade‑offs on functionality, this keyboard nails it.
I love the look at it so much. The key noises are clicky, but that is what I was looking for in a typewriter mechanical keyboard--to get the actual experience of typing on a typewriter. It was perfectly packaged and was intact when I unboxed. Size is perfect, not too big and not too small. The wrist pad is not attached to the keyboard, but it's good for an optional addition.
Perfect for those who can't afford the QWERKYWRITER keyboard.
It makes it easy to place a stand for the phone, although I only need to connect it to the computer. That way you can always check the information that pops up on your phone. The personal office doesn't care about the sound of the switch. The Bluetooth connection is also sensitive and not as difficult as one would have to imagine.
This is such a nice keyboard. It really does mimic the look and feel of a classic typewriter while having a lot of modern functionality. It pairs right away without any issue. Likewise, typing on this feels so good. It’s actually one of the more comfortable keyboards I’ve ever used - and I’ve used a lot. The RGB lights are pretty bright but they’re best viewed in darker rooms. In everyday use, I’ve found this to feel really natural to where I don’t feel like I’m using a novelty keyboard. Overall, this is really well-made and feels like a premium product. Highly recommended.
I love this keyboard! After trying a few others, I was sure this would be just as disappointing, and I've never been so happy to be proven wrong! It's so thoughtfully designed and manufactured--I love everything about it. Solid, sturdy connection, beautiful vintage look, fun light displays and keyboard-to-computer integration, and of course, the clickity-clacking I've been looking for!
Love the compact feel of the keyboard, out of the box it brought back some nostalgic feelings. I watched my father type on an older vintage typewriter and when I took the 7keys typewriter for a spin, hearing the clicking of the keys took me back to a young girl. But more than that the feel of it is amazing, I love the return handle being where I change the lights, it was such a Great purchase!!!
It was just as I expected and the quality is obvious. I’ve enjoyed typing on it and the keys feel amazing. The keyboard was easy to order and it arrived on time. Thanks!
I've always loved using a manual typewriter (I "hunt-and-peck) and this keyboard is great fun. It was a perfect birthday gift to myself and is well-made and reasonably priced. Everyone to whom I show it, thinks it's very cool.
I have never enjoyed writing so much. The crisp clicks and feel of the keys are worlds above the iPad magic keyboard I was using for years. This keyboard is making the sensation of writing as exciting as the stories I'm creating
This is a cool little gadget, but I'm not sure I actually like it. I can actually move faster and make less mistakes on my old Logitech K350. The keys are closer together than the keyboards you can purchase now, and that likely contributes to my mistakes. I have been typing for 50 years so I'm very experienced as a typist. I was a tad disappointed in the sound as well. I thought it would sound more like the old typewriters and maybe have a bit more tension as you push down the keys. I will keep it for when I feel like playing, but for working, I will probably stick with the Logitech just because I can go faster. I do really love the variety of light displays. Oh, and I wish the writing on the keys could be illuminated separately from the light shows for better viewing. I sometimes have to lean forward to look straight down on the keyboard in order to make sure I'm pressing the correct key or keys. Because of that, I like to prop this keyboard up more at an angle which means you can't use the holder for your phone. Maybe that bar could be made adjustable. Like I said, this is a cool little gadget; just some thoughts I had about it.
Excellent typewriter mechanical keyboard! Possibly the best value on the market at the moment, with backlighting, dongle usb, and the retro typewriter sound all in one. I love how I can connect up to three bluetooth devices too for a seamless cross device experience. I honestly can't see any faults.
Honestly, I tested it on my phone, and it worked great! I am going to get a tablet with a retro case/frame/holder, and leave it on my kitchen bar. My home is retro/vintage...and it is worth it just having the keyboard sitting on the counter. Even my 15-year-old son walks up to it once a day or so and types on it just for fun...with no screen attached :) Just a happy thing to have in the home.
